Sol's First Passover - sort of.

Grandpa's got Sol listening to Sinatra already!!

Grandma and Mom feeling Sol Kick

The men deserve a nap after a day around the pool reading the paper!

Grandma getting the good old fashioned jewish sedar meal ready for little Sol

Ready for that Passover meal - yum Matzo ball soup!

Cousins Jenny and Jessie visit from NY - so happy they made it to Passover.

We were all tuckered out after our big meal with 15 guests, Sammie included!

We had a wonderful Passover weekend!! It was great to celebrate the holiday with Cousins Jenny and Jessie and of course eat our way through the weekend. In fact, Sol got me to break my 16 year Vegetarian diet as I ate Bagels and Lox!! Lots of lox! I couldnt get enough of it! He really takes after his namesake :).

The belly and the baby there-in got lots and lots of love pats - but he was very stubborn about when and for whom he would kick - what can I say, he's shy! All in all a fun filled weekend - though exhausting - Sammie and I spent all day yesterday sleeping to recover - oh well :)

6 months pregnant and baby room is a go!

Today I am 6 months pregnant!! How exciting to finally be here -esp when you think back to those first few weeks - but boy, we feel great. Even popped out a bit more last night/today - but thats good stuff!! Maybe Sol grew as a result of working on the baby room all weekend! In fact, the baby's room is painted ( thanks Aunties Chel, Mich and Ann) and the furniture is all moved out and into the newly painted den ( thanks Daddy-to-be).Actually, John worked real hard all weekend moving furniture, lifting boxes, you name it - he did it - and now we have a beautiful new guestroom/den and a big empty baby room waiting for furniture!! We'll keep the blog updated w/picture sof the baby's room as it gets worked on - and of course - pic of the belly as it grows!!

23 wks and all going great!

Sol and I had another GREAT doctor's appt - all is on target weight and measurement wise. He listened w/the doppler and said the baby sounds perfect (could you expect any less from a Fleming/Merzer?). So we are all set for our trip to S. Fla next week for Passover and eagerly awaiting the 18 hour drive down there with all the bathroom stops :)

On another note - we are def getting bigger and having more (but different) pregnancy symptoms.

Such as you ask - here goes:
1. Dry skin - not only the belly itches, but everything is kinda just itchy, esp my hands and arms.
2. Problems sleeping at night - just cant seem to get comfy and the legs and back hurt by the end of the day and into the night.
3. Still tired - dang tired - always tired.
4. More cravings - not for odd combinations of food, just food I dont usually eat - like french fries. And when I want something, I want it right then and there, there is no waiting.
5. Cracking joints - they say your ligaments and joints loosen up - mostly so your pelvic bone and such can stretch out for delivery- but the process isnt specific so I find my fingers, toes, knees, etc cracking and aching.

But all this is way worth it for my little soccer player who's kicking away in there and having a grand ol time!! Stay tuned :)
