That's right, Solomon Walker is officially three months old (the months vs. weeks calculation is getting a little difficult and so from here on out we're just going to count months) and I have to say we are def getting into the fun zone. Everyday he is just cuter and more animated and he just has the funniest little personality. You can tell he's just going to be a fun and funny person. He smiles at everything - like the world is just a pleasant place for him, and why wouldnt it be. There is no resisting it - when you see him smile or hear him laugh you just have to smile. Its the best drug around.
Lately, everything he does puts me in awe. The way he moves his little fingers around his toy bunny and then flops it into his mouth, or how he fiddles with his ear when he's drinking from his bottle, or blows little bubbles on his lips -- its all so amazing. He is def holding his head up and can sit up almost by himself if we support the base of his back. He loves to stand with us holding him up ( he'll stand for hours if our arms could do it!) And he's starting to push himself up off his tummy when he does tummy time - this is just soooo cool.
He is sleeping sooo much better - hence why mommy and daddy are doing better these days. He basically sleeps every night from 10/11pm-4am - he eats a bottle at 4 and then sleeps til 7/8am. If we could just get him to go til 5 or 6 am in one stretch we'd be set! He sleeps in his crib - he's been sleeping there since he was 3 weeks old. The funny thing is - I never had a problem putting him in his crib - I didnt feel like he was too far away. Quite the opposite - when he was in the bassinet next to me I didnt sleep well at all, I kept leaning over to check on him. In the crib in his room, I can hear him on the monitor and for some reason I'm ok with that. HOWEVER, we have been leaving a light on in his room all night ( the night table light) well the other night the light bulb went out and so John said to just turn on the little Snoopy night light we have in there for him. So I did. And he was fine. Not even sure he noticed it was dark in there. But I did. I went in and out like 5 times, before I made John help me find a replacement bulb. It just made me uncomfortable to have it dark in there. Like I wouldnt be able to see him breathing. I know. Crazy. But I guess it was my version of keeping him in the bassinet next to the bed for 6 months. All mothers have a bit of separation anxiety. :)
Anyways - Happy 3 month b-day baby Solomon - you are growing up so fast.
