The Solly Firecracker 500 - July 4, 2010

The kid is fearless. And pretty smart, too. Watch him line up his route from the garage.

Solly, at 22 months old, really likes "baseball!"

And he has an extraordinarily accurate arm.

Solly's Day at the Museum Playground - Full Length Version

Solly at the museum playground during an open house.

This one is mostly for his mom and dad and Aunt Chelsea. A shorter version - and more description - can be found below.

Solly's Day at the Museum Playground - Short Version

What a terrific day - Solly, Dad, G-Ma and G-Pa at the museum's open house, while Mom threw a very successful bridal shower for Michelle.

Here's a taste of it.

Little Drummer Boy

The kid really has a knack for this.

He insists on using the real sticks, and he immediately sensed the next break.

I'm just saying.

Signed,

G-Pa

Solly dancing to the dreidal song

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=I5048PedPMk

Solly had a blast while we put up the tree and unpacked all the holiday decorations. He especially loved the toys that played the dreidal song ( one is a kids toy, the other is a dogs toy but who's checking). You can see he has his own special way of dancing - we're thinking of calling it the Solly Twirl!

Solly at FDP Convention at Disney and other random stuff

We had a great weekend in Orlando at the FDP Convention/Disney Yacht and Beach Club -- spent a lot of time with the whole Maddox campaign crew - great to be with those folks again. Solly and all the kids ( who are so much older now, I can hardly call them kids) had a blast - we spent lots of time with Chris and Raquel, got lots of fun in the sun in ( I even went down the BIG water slide - Jack wasnt taking no for an answer) and even some good quality family time, a nice dinner Saturday night and check out this walk on the pier...

John ended up going swimming with us on Sunday instead of attending the rest of the convention and I think Solly really liked playing in the pool with Daddy. All in all - a wonderful weekend!!!

Learning how to wave that campaign already!!

Daddy and Solly watching the marching band come in to "open" the FDP Convention -- he wasnt as impressed or excited as I thought he would be - maybe cause the hordes of people there was kinda overwhelming at that point. He lasted a few hours but had a meltdown before Scott's speech and I didnt want to be "THAT" person in the convention hall, you know, the one with the crying baby.

Uncle Chris insisted Solly meet our next U.S. Senator, Congressman Meek

Solly is not smiling behind those hands, he was not liking that big Goofy one bit!

Not too happy Donald Duck is sitting next to Mommy.

"Dad, There is a big Duck at our table, dont let him eat me"

"Whew, now that the big duck is gone I can enjoy my Micky Mouse Waffles"

Solly, Uncle Chris and Aunt Raquel at the Maddox Dance Party

Clapping along with the music!

Just Chillin with Jack.

Solly on the dance floor w/Monkey, Jack and Denver. Each one took turns dancing with him - he was loving it! They are all sooooo good with him -- I have LOTS of babysitters!!

"I'm ready to hit that slide!"

Solly's first trip down the kiddy slide - Mommy was def more scared than he was!

Solly and Carter must have gone down that kiddy slide like 100 times. Solly also took turns with Montgomery, Jack and Denver - after each trip down he kinda swam back to the steps and made his way back to the slide - he loved it!

Solly playing with the kids and Aunt Raquel - they had an excellent game of "splash!"

Solly getting a lift from Carter!

Hanging w/Uncle Joe and Daddy watching the Gators kick some "tushy"

And I go in...

And I go out....
